Who Claims to be 1st with low-starch feeds?

The Home of the Original Carboraider Horse Feed
Carboraider Complete is the lowest starch and lowest sugar product sold in California, to the best of our knowledge. Our starch guarantees are 3% but actual analysis has been below 2%. We were first to introduce this low-starch concept in 2000.

We now offer the Original Carboraider,
Carboraider Senior, Carboraider Concentrate, and Carboraider LoCal: perfect for adult horses and ponies. This provides a broad-spectrum, very low-starch program for horses requiring these unique diets. Carboraider contains no molasses or alfalfa. It does contain soy lecithin and live, direct-fed microbials.

BIRDS GO HUNGRY ON KING SENIOR DELIGHT

I've been feeding Senior Delight to my very old horse for several years. His condition has improved markedly since I began feeding it. He moved so well that I could still ride him when he was 41 years old.

When I was feeding a [nationally known] senior, I noticed there were many birds going through my horse's manure in the corral. When I switch to King Senior Delight, the birds quit coming to my old horse's corral altogether. That was proof to me, even before my horse's condition improved, that he was getting better nutrition from the new feed.

I now have another old horse who came to me so thin that I thought he might not make it, who is eating King Senior Delight exclusively. He was getting a high quality alfalfa and was eating it, but not getting enough nutrition to keep him alive. He looks beautiful now and is quite fat and happy.

I would just like to thank you and your company for making this remarkable feed that allows my old horses to live a healthy life in their last years. It makes me feel good to see them out in their corrals doing so well.

Sincerely,

June Snow, RN, BS, MA

MoJoe and Matt

MoJoe After 28 Days on Ultra
MattSheridan.net

Matt Sheridan trains horses and presents clinics throughout California. He comments on MoJo:

MoJoe is 15 hand 950-1000 pound 3 year old Quarter Horse gelding. Additionally, he has another set back that I discovered after he arrived at our barn: He is missing half of his lower teeth on the right side due to an accident that he had as a foal. Even though the owners had provided him with more than enough feed they were having difficulty getting him to gain and maintain weight. They are absolutely amazed at the difference in their horse's appearance since he was brought down from Oregon.

MoJoe is ridden 5-6 days a week. He is ridden an average of 1 hour daily at a light to moderate rate.
2 days arena work -walk, trot, lope, stops, backing, etc (moderate work).
2 days light arena work and trail course training (light - moderate work).
1 day trail work in the hills to build muscle and endurance (moderate work), and 1 day ridden up to 2 hours while giving lessons (light work).
He receives 20 pounds of roughage a day - alfalfa. Free feed salt is provided and electrolytes are added to his water.
2 pounds of Utra per day.

Since MoJoe arrived in May until now his overall appearance is much improved. He has put on a noticeable amount of weight over his loin, hip, back and rib area. When he first came in his body fat was very low. In fact his loin and hip fell away on either side and his ribs showed considerably. His coat, mane and tail are now also healthy. At the time that he arrived at our barn, he still had a significant amount of winter coat needing to be shed out. Within about two weeks of starting him on Ultra he was mostly shed out. What I have found with MoJoe and my other horses is that I am able to maintain and increase the weight of the young horses that I ride.  Another interesting point is that MoJoe is a lighter medium body type at this time so he could have been a little tougher type to keep weight on. He has a healthy amount of body fat now that gives him more of the look that I would like for him to have when we go to Oregon to show next month.

I also would like to share with you another added benefit of feeding Ultra to our horses. We have two horses that have been difficult to keep a mane and tail during the summer months. The first horse would start rubbing his mane out as soon as the weather warmed up. I have tried everything to get him to stop and the best I could do was slow him down. He has been on Ultra now for a year and his mane is the longest it has been in three or four years. The other horse is a nice palomino filly that I own that has had a brittle mane and tail. I would joke that her mane was starting to look like a pleasure mane that we never had to pull. Her tail also was short and thin. Recently, I was noticing that she mane had grown 3-4 inches and her tail was well below her hocks. This took place within the past year. For most horses this may not be much, but since so much of the hair was breaking off we are very excited to see a healthy looking mane and tail.

After using 20/20 on 9 horses we have discovered a common effect that the product seems to have. All the horses are mellower and not as excitable as they were prior to feeding 20/20. The effect takes about 3 weeks at the outside to become apparent. I am not sure exactly why this is, but all the horses have the necessary stamina and energy but are much less nervous and anxious during riding. One of my clients has a very high energy 1/2 arab that she started feeding 20/20 to. I had told her about my experience with the product and she was mute on her thoughts about how it would work for her horse. About three weeks later she stopped by on her exceptionally quiet horse. She was happy with the results! She told me that she really did not think it would work on her horse. She has since been telling all of her friends. The other day she stopped by again and said her horse was too mellow. Imagine that!? She plans to cut back to 1 pound a day. By the way all the horses look fabulous. Their weight is good, coats look nice and they are all a pleasure to ride whether ridden once a day or once a week.

Rockin G Foundation Quarter Horses
I am a client of Matt Sheridan's and buy my 20/20 ultra from Ron Robinson in Poway CA.  I just wanted to let you know that all of our horses have been on 20/20 for about 6 months now.  I can't even tell you how beautiful 20/20 looks on my grulla mare and my bay is so black people don't know what color she is.  The dapples they both have are to die for.  My others are great too but the grulla and bay are the best.  We have converted about 5 horsey friends over to 20/20 for all their horses.
. . .
We feel so strongly about the benefits of the 20/20 that we are staking these 2 horses lives on it!  We wanted you guys to know how powerful this product has been to our program. Thanks for the 20/20 and please keep Matt close to you too!  He has been doing wonders training our babies (he is on the 3rd one now) and using 20/20 that we have been winning every year we show at the OFQHC futurity shows in Oregon.

At KING Feeds, we learned long ago that livestock   customers want:

1. Safe and consistent diets

2. Value and respect from suppliers

3. A minimum amount of fines in feed

4. A product that does not change color or taste with ingredient prices (this is called "least-cost" or "best-cost" formulating).

This is how we have addressed your concerns:

King Feeds' formulas are fixed. Ingredients are not varied when they become less expensive. The color, smell and taste are consistent. The only time we change a formula is to benefit your animals.

Neither of our plants contains Bovatec, Rumensin, or Paylean.

Cleanliness and top quality are paramount to KING's continued success. Our feed ingredients come from the top suppliers in the U. S. Also, very few feed companies screen their pelleted feeds. KING Feeds does. It is just simply our way of doing business. If you are not satisfied with the level of fines, call us and we will replace your product!

King Feeds is a California tradition. We have been here since 1938 and are completely focused on providing the best product and the best service to our customers.

We believe in KING Feeds and, because we do, we offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on ALL KING Feeds!

NO CORN RABBIT FOODS FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS!

Want the best in  Rabbit Foods? Want no corn, low-starch rabbit foods? KING has only manufactured "corn-free" rabbit foods for at least 15 years! Other companies may promote their "researched", special-fibre rabbit feeds but KING wrote the book on these very special products. Check out our  Lifelong and Cloverleaf Products!  They are fixed formulas, pellets are screened, and the rations are designed to emulate a more natural way of feeding rabbits.
